Finding your way around
To find the antiques you are looking for you can:
i. Type the keyword into the "quick search" box
at the top of the page and click on the green arrow (or press
the "enter" key).
ii. Click on "search" from the options at the top
or bottom of the page. The search page will open, where you
may specify any or all of the following: category, date added
to the web site, keyword, minimum price, maximum price. Where
you specify a price you must select either US Dollars, Pounds
Sterling, or Euro from the currency drop-down box.
iii. Click on "browse our stock" from the options
at the top or bottom of the page. The stock browser page will
open. Select a category from the navigation bar at the left-hand
side.
The stock browser will display a maximum of 10 items at a
time. Where there are more than 10 items to view, you will
need to click "next items" toward the bottom of
the page to move forward to the next set of items. Additional
links will appear as appropriate, to enable you to move back
and forth or jump to the first or last set of items.

What do the "make enquiry" and "purchase"
buttons do?
The "make enquiry" button opens a form which enables
you to ask us any questions you may have about an item. You
will be first be asked for your general location and the
currency
in which you wish any prices to be quoted. This information
helps us to simplify the options which follow. You will then
be asked to provide your name and email address. Your personal
details are used solely for the purpose of answering your
enquiry
(see
our
privacy policy).
We encourage customers to enquire about items prior to purchase,
and we
are happy to provide additional information and photographs
when requested.
The "purchase" button opens a form which enables
you to purchase an item using a credit card. We strongly advise
customers to make enquiries about an item prior to purchase,
however this is not a requirement. You will first be asked
for your general location and the currency in which you wish
your credit card to be charged. You will then be asked for
personal and payment details. Your personal details are used
solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order (see our privacy
policy). Sales are subject to the terms
and conditions set out on the web site.

Which browsers will work with this web site?
This site is optimised for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6
and Netscape 7. It will also work with IE 4 and above, Opera
6 and above, and Netscape 4 and above, although some visual
features may be non-functional. Proper operation of the web
site requires Javascript to be enabled and cookies to be accepted. |
 |
Why do you not have a conventional shopping cart?
Because all the items we offer for sale are individual, a
conventional shopping cart application would be inappropriate
and impractical for our customers. |
 |
Why does my country not appear in the options in
the enquiry or purchase form?
This is most likely due to having selected an incorrect location
on the preceding page. For instance, if you select "European
Union" as your location, only countries in the European
Union will be selectable in the "country" drop-down
box.
To rectify the problem, click the "amend details"
button toward the bottom of the page, and you will be given
the opportunity to re-select your location.

Why do you show so many different prices?
For the convenience of our customers, we show prices in Pounds
Sterling (British Pounds), U.S. Dollars and Euro. We have
taken this step in response to the many enquiries we have
received requesting price quotes in these currencies.
Please note that prices shown in US Dollars and Euro are for guidance only; your credit card will be charged in British Pounds and converted at a rate determined by your card issuer.
We show the "Export price " (price excluding tax) since
this is the price relevant to our many customers in the United
States. Sales to all countries outside the European Union
are free of VAT (sales tax).
We also show the price including VAT since this is relevant
to our customers within the European Union, and we are required
by law to do so.

 |
Which credit cards do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard, Switch and Visa Delta.
Please note that prices shown in US Dollars and Euro are for guidance only; your credit card will be charged in British Pounds and converted at a rate determined by your card issuer. |
